Meet Steve

My name is Steve Lainas, and I’m proud to be a lifelong resident of Brockton, a homeowner and taxpayer in Ward 1 for over 20 years, and the proud son of Greek immigrants who taught me the value of hard work, community, and service.

Brockton is more than just where I live—it’s where I was raised, educated, and where I’ve chosen to raise my own family. I graduated from Brockton High School in 1990 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Bridgewater State University in 1994.

For six years, I’ve served on the Brockton Zoning Board of Appeals, gaining firsthand knowledge of the city’s development, challenges, and opportunities. I bring both a long-term resident’s perspective and a business owner’s practical experience to every decision I make.

As the owner of a small business right here in Brockton, I understand the importance of supporting local commerce, creating jobs, and keeping our economy strong. I am a property owner and I am deeply invested in our city's future—economically, socially, and culturally.

Family is at the heart of everything I do. My wife Nicole and I have been married for over 20 years, and we’re raising four wonderful children—three of whom currently attend Brockton Public Schools. I know firsthand how important it is to ensure our schools are well-funded, safe, and preparing our kids for the future.

Faith and service are central parts of my life. I’ve previously served as a Parish Council member at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton, helping support programs that enrich our community.

As your neighbor in Ward 1, I’m running to be a strong voice for our families, homeowners, small businesses, and all who love this city as much as I do.

Let’s build a stronger Brockton—together.

A Lifelong Brockton Resident. A Committed Community Leader. A Voice for Ward 1.
